This is Goodbye...

Monday, 14 September 2015  at 7:40 pm
Good Evening!

For anyone that even reads any of these posts, I commend you and take my hat off to you! Like the title states, this is goodbye...I've always loved to write and express myself but because of uni and academia sucking my life into smithereens, it isn't possible for me anymore to maintain a blog. With that being said, I might or might not revive this blog again, but right now I don't have any intention of doing so. As always a big thank you to all of you, all of you that made this blog worthwhile to me, I really appreciate it from the bottom of my heart. I've now joined the insta world and have about....two posts of on there so far XD. So if you'd like to know more about my whereabouts and what I'm up to, you can follow me on google+ and my insta ID is: @ayaka_shiroyama

Once again, thank you for everything and allowing me to experience the wonders of social media :)

Hey Everyone!

So I'm sure most of you have noticed (at least I hope you have) but I've been MIA for a while now. I've been super busy with honors and uni and all that jazz. I've also realized that it might be time for a change and I'm thinking of relocating this home to a new home. But I'll tell you guys all that in due time! If you want to stalk me or just send me a hello follow me on Google+ as I'm way more active there!

See you guys soon! :)

Nail Art|Stamping+Foils

Sunday, 5 April 2015  at 11:22 am

I've only realized now how vague my titles are for my nail art designs, currently I'm listening to the sounds of my parents geyser spew water out from the ceiling. It isn't the most satisfying sound when you're hungry might I add. On that weird note, I have been obsessed with metallic foils lately and anything foil related. As a result, every nail design I do, I try and incorporate foils, I hope you like today's nail art design :)

You can purchase this stamping plate from BPS and enter the code FAB10 for a 10% discount upon checkout!
Till we meet again!
Bye Bye!

Nail Art|It Looks Like Mosaic

Sunday, 22 March 2015  at 4:56 pm

Another quickie of a post before my blog starts to get cobwebs and spiders living in it! I chose this cute stamping plate from BPS which came just in time since I'm bogged down by work! I hope you enjoy this post! :)

Swatch|Revlon's Charmed

Saturday, 14 March 2015  at 3:32 pm
Gooood Afternoon!

Just a quick little check-in, to tell everyone that I'm not dead and survive by a thread thanks to uni! I had no idea that honors had so many presentations that we as the students have to do.....I'm obviously the type of person that breaks out in a cold sweat when I have to present and I absolutely hate it! Just when you think you've conquered your last oral, there's another one around the corner grinning in your face *sigh* I hope everyone likes this swatch of Revlon's ''Charmed" which is a pretty pale purple :)

Till we meet again! :)
Bye Bye!

Nail Art|Silver Flower Stamping

Monday, 23 February 2015  at 11:52 am

It's a Monday afternoon and usually Monday's suck! But I have the day off (the perks of university life) and days off mean I have time to post....since I've pulled another AWOL. I hope you enjoy this afternoon's post! :)

The stamping plate was sent to me by BornPrettyStore (of course since I love BPS) and the plate can be purchased here for $2.54.

Nail Art| Valentines Day Part 3!

Tuesday, 10 February 2015  at 8:32 pm

I have a very small contribution to Valentines Day which is coming up in a couple of days. I really wanted to make more of this festive day, since let's be honest, most of us will be watching Mr Grey that day *laughs*. But I've been swamped! Swamped up till my neck with uni work and honors, and honors and presentations and honors. So please bear with me during this frame time, hopefully I'll see the light and a bit of free time soon! I hope you enjoy this post! :) To see my other Valentine's day mani's click here, here and here!

Hopefully the next time I write another blog post I would have watched a. 50 shades of Grey and b. had an excellent first block in Honors!

Till we meet again!
Bye Bye!

Nail Art|Black Stamping

Saturday, 31 January 2015  at 8:22 pm

Another evening post, another day, another night! Honours is sucking me up whole with all limbs attached! Oh, in case I didn't mention this but I was accepted into Honours last year and now Ive delved into the world of Molecular Physiology! Which entails researching and studying receptors that may or may not cause specific pathophysiological conditions in humans. Specifically I'm interested in the CCR5 receptor which AIDS uses to infect and inhabit the host cell...but yea that's a discussion for another blog post *laughs*. Since I don't have much time these days and I'm always trying to find ways to make my talons (fake or not) to look good at all times, I either steer towards stamping or nail wraps. Tonight I have a mani that was based off of a previous mani that I had done way back in 2012, I kinda like the old mani but I think this one is way better and I hope all of you will think so too! :)

Travel Log|Adentures in Kirstenbosch

Sunday, 25 January 2015  at 7:20 pm

I've just discovered the wonders and joy of Skype...yeah I know I'm slow with everything. As I mentioned previously my grandfather has kidney failure and is on dialysis my aunt kept nagging me to get Skype for a while. When I eventually did get it, seeing my grandfather's face on the other side of the screen gave me the greatest amount of joy and I wouldn't trade it for the world and I'm so glad that social platforms such as Skype were made by an incredibly, perfect person *laughs*. So onto what this post is really about! I visited Kirstenbosh again because the brother said that there was a new trail/walkway that recently opened. To my...agony/surprise it was a canopy walkway where you're able to overlook the tops of the trees and I fail to remember time and time again that I hate heights (even though I hate to admit it out loud). With that being said, all you height lovers will absolutely love the new walkway, if you ever come down to South Africa and visit Kirstenbosh. I hope you enjoy tonight's post! :)

Nail Art|Lazy Girl Nail Art Part 5!

Sunday, 18 January 2015  at 5:24 pm

Tomorrow is lab day! So this little blogger will be stuck in the lab all day everyday starting from tomorrow (oh, what fun!). On another note I chose these silver nail wraps from BornPretty Store which might I add are the best nail wraps I've applied in a long while. Usually nail wraps don't impress me too much when it concerns the adhesive department. They either start lifting after a week or I'm able to pick them off too easily. These however lasted a week and I had to remove them with nail-polish remover because I couldn't pick them off (score!). What did irritate me though about the nail wraps was a clear film over the wrap that started lifting after a few days. Once I pulled the film off the nail wrap actually looked better and more sparkly, so I'm not sure what that film was. I hope you like tonight's post! :)

Nail Art|Triangles

Friday, 16 January 2015  at 7:40 am
Good Morning!

I'm apologizing once again for not blogging in some-time (and I was doing so well with blogging too) but I have a super valid reason. I had all four wisdom teeth excised out of my gums last Monday.....and need I say I've never felt less than a human in all my life than what I feel at this very moment. So to gradually re-introduce myself into posting and blogging again, here's a little mani I did a while back in my home-town. I hope you like it!

Till we meet again!
Bye Bye!

Travel Log|Seaside Story

Thursday, 8 January 2015  at 5:28 pm
Good (Late) Afternoon!

Since I didn't have the time to venture off to unknown and unexplored places in my home-town (boo-hoo!) this time around. I visited some golden oldies which I always visit, aka the beach! Even though I can't swim I love a good seaside breeze and the smell of salt in the air! To see my other adventures at the beach (Which are a bit more exciting) click here and here! I hope you enjoy this afternoon's post :)

Till we meet again!
Bye Bye!

Swatch|Sally Hansen Satin Glam in Go Gold

Friday, 2 January 2015  at 11:57 am
Good Afternoon!

My first post of 2015! What better way to welcome in the new year with Sally Hansen's Go Gold which is a rich, shimmery, gold nail-polish which I've fallen in love with! It happens to compliment my skin tone perfectly since gold tones tend to look weird on my nails (I don't know why). I hope everyone has an amazing year ahead of them filled with joy and laughter. 2014 has had to have been the worst year I ever encountered in my life, for a multitude of reasons. The primary one involving my grandfather who was diagnosed with chronic renal failure at the end of 2014. So I hope 2015 brings much happiness and adventure!

I applied two coats of Go Gold on my nails and didn't experience any chipping after one week.

Till the next post!
Bye Bye!
