Before I leave

Wednesday 14 December 2011  at 11:38 am
Afternoon!
So, before leave for my home town trip, I have a mini of a haul. But, before I get onto that, yesterday night I went out with favourite person had dinner and we walked around the mall. This might not seem like much, but I've never been at the mall after closing hours. Never in my life. Yes, I am a sheltered child (laughs). I stayed there until 21:30, then mum came and they spoke until 22:00 (laughs). I love how when they have a problem they discuss it and don't allow it to fester like an open wound. But, anyway, so I'll be away for a month, yes an entire month! Just because uni opens later, I think sometime in February it opens so my family saw it fit to keep me there for an entire month. I would rather be spending all my time with my favourite person. But, we all can't have our cake and eat it.

Everything that I bought came from Trueworth's.

Bought this at Trueworth's, it's from Trueworth's leather collection. I only bought it so that it could replace my blakc bag that broke. It's a non-offensive bag, it goes with any outfit, so it's perfect!

My oxfords! They're so comfy! They're a bit big though. I wanted a size 4, but my mum almost killed me when I suggested a smaller size, so I have to deal with a size 5 that gives my feet just a bit too much room.

These look so Summery and Springy! I love how cute they look.

Dusty pink loose fitting top. Looks good paired with skinnies or a skirt.

Please excuse the tired look and the messy hair. I just woke up and decided to cam-whore.

After my month vacation I'll upload all my adventures and misadventures! And be prepared for many, many hauls! I hope all you lovelies will have a blessed Christmas! And if you don't celebrate Christmas, then have a good vacation and de-stress your heart out!

Till the next post in a months time!
Bye Bye!

Second year biochem student!

Evening!

So, I just found out about a few minutes ago that I passed first year! Yay! No longer a freshling naive first year but now a confident and determined second year! I was really down the past few weeks because I didn't know what the outcome of my results would be, but, my favourite person kept telling me that I would pass. I'm thankful for his confidence in me, because my parents have absolutely none in me, and that doesn't help me with my stress problem. So, in honour of my pass I come with a NOTD (laughs). It's 09:31 pm and I only have a NOTD, I apologize, but it's better than nothing right? I just hope second year will be to my liking because first year didn't deal with what I wanted to specialize in, oh well.

My first attempt at a pink gradient.

I hope all my lovelies will enjoy their Sunday tomorrow! (laughs) I kept thinking it was Sunday today and it's Saturday. I haven't left the house in two days! And my mum and I have been in our pyjama's the entire day!

Till the next post!
Bye Bye!

Hello end of November and welcome December!

Friday 9 December 2011  at 12:20 pm
Afternoon!

I woke up about three hours ago, and I want to go back to bed. Lovelies? Have you ever felt like you sleep but when you wake up, you're still exhausted? I've been feeling like that for about three weeks now? And the fact that I'm leaving soon for my home town doesn't make me feel any better. I don't really want to go, but anyway. So, what have I been doing in the month of November? Taking OFTD's spending time with my favourite person, having picnics, eating at Mcdonald's with favourite person AND meeting up with my high-school friends oh, and of course the occasional shopping trip. The one downfall about the place I'm currently inhabiting is, is Summer rainfall, I hate Summer rainfall. In my home town we have Winter rainfall, doesn't it make sense to have rainfall in Winter and not in Summer? Summer is the time to be at the beach, tan, soak in some rays, but instead it's raining! Summer rainfall isn't my friend.

I only ever come to Mcdonalds with favourite person as a treat.

I never noticed the welcome sign before.

Picnic with favourite person. I surprised him with a picnic on his birthday because I wanted to have a picnic with just the two of us. Was a good day indeed.

In the picnic basket there was bread like a baguette, biltong, chicken a spinach quiche a fruit salad  and a selection of ham. We had to buy our own cold drink, I don't know why cold drink wasn't included in the basket.

OFTD.

Love this dress. Believe it or not, but I never use to be a dress or skirt girl. I use to wear  jeans and t-shirts all the time. I looked like a boy (cringe).

OFTD.

So, I tried on this dress a couple of times before, before I bought it. It took me about a week to buy this dress because they never had my size and when I wore the wrong size it looked horrid on me. I tried the dress on in three different sizes, a size 6, 8 and 10. A size 6 was too small and for me looked the best but my mum said no and a size 10 was way too big. So, of course the size 8 was the best choice. It has a built in padded bra type thing and because I'm not gifted with those assets the cup size is usually too big, but the size 8 cup size seems to work for me. I love this dress because it's great for Summer it's flowey and light and looks great paired with a cardigan if the weather gets a bit chilly.

Trying on a size 6.

The dress in a size 8. I bought the dress at Foschini, for how much I wouldn't know.

And the cam-whoring ensues!

Going to get a new phone when the new year rolls around, I'm tired of this phone. I have so many pictures and kpop videos on my phone that it's slow now. Need a new phone, I want to get a HTC! Or an I-phone.

You can't deny a face like that!

I IS QUEEN OF THE JUNGLE! She looks so sinister here!
So, in exactly less than 48 hours (I think) my results will be released by the university! I'm scared! I won't lie, university is such a pain, putting me through this unnecessary stress, but anyway!

I hope all my lovelies will have a wonderful weekend ahead!
Till the next post!
Bye Bye!

This and That

Sunday 4 December 2011  at 2:33 pm
Afternoon!

Lovelies, it seems this year is rapidly approaching its end. Time, for me seems to fly by. Not so long ago, I was a young fresh-ling in university trying to find my way amongst the wise and cunning second and third years (laughs). I remember at that time I spotted my favourite person at the university but never went up to him to say hi because I was too shy. I didn't realize that he was such a friendly and open person. Don't judge a book by its cover! Looks are very deceiving. All in all this year has been good to me. First year has made me lose weight so I'm thinner (whoop whoop) and it's made me a bit mature. I have to sort out my own mess ups when it pertains to my academics. I still hate university and its enormous amount of work but the vibe and atmosphere of university life, I'll never get enough of. You meet so many new and interesting people, there's an adventure waiting for you within each passing day. I don't fully understand when people pass up a chance to go to university. Firstly, there are many people who would love to be in your position and study at a tertiary institution and secondly university life is something I believe everyone should experience. It forces you to grow up and thicken that second layer of skin you thought you never had. People will continuously put you down but you have to realize that they want to see you as another drop out and not as a somebody. Having a good support team is crucial. It helped me through all the bad times I've had to go through in first year. Luckily for me, I met my half-hearted best friend the day I enrolled at the university and my favourite person, well, I knew him for a few years before I met up with him face to face. So, he wasn't a random guy that I met at the university. I'm truly thankful for all the people I've met this year. They've changed my outlook on the world and opened my eyes to the opportunities that await me. Thank you!

So, lets end the philosophical speech there and move on to what my readers REALLY want to see. I come with a fashion haul, OFTD and a NOTD! The clothes were bought a few weeks ago (yes, I'm slow with my updates) and the Clinique Anti-blemish solutions, I can finally give my say on that. So, I started using the Anti-blemish solutions sometime in the middle of November and have been using it for 4 weeks now and I'm still using it, which is a good sign. It does lessen my breakouts to a certain degree, not the degree I want it to but, it gets the job done. I still do get the odd pop up of two or three pimples but I guess that's ok. The problem I have with it is, it leaves my face red after I've used it. Wherever my pimples are situated the area around the pimple will become red and puffy and which after sometime will disappear. The moisturiser which is meant to be light weight and non-oil based leaves my face shiny. I hate it. My t-zone is extremely oily and anything with oil in it, just amplifies the oiliness. It is light weight and feels great on my skin, but the oily residue isn't to my liking at all. I therefore have to use a pore minimizer (which will be featured in my haul) to keep my T-zone matte. It works great, at the end of the day my face is still matte. Sweat, heat and any of that bad stuff that makes your skin oily doesn't affect the pore minimizer, hence the matte affect of it lasts all day. It was about 195 zar ($24.22) which isn't a bad price for a product that actually works and gets the job done!

The cotton top was featured in my previous post, I don't know why I featured it in this haul.

I bought this at Foschini, I love the lace detailing and the gold accents.

My trusty black bag that I pair with all of my outfits broke, because favourite person stashes nibbles and coldrinks in it when we catch a movie (laughs). For some reason I'm drawn to box like bags, they seem more practical to me.

My naked face!

I was holding my favourite persons hand in case you were wondering why my hand is outstretched like that. I  honestly tuck everything into my skirts, I love the silhouette it creates.

Pac man!

I hope all my lovelies are enjoying the remnants of a wonderful Sunday afternoon!

Till the next post
Bye Bye!
