Review|NYX LipCream in Absolute Red

Evening!

What pops into everyone's mind when the words "New Years Eve" are either muttered by your friends or significant other? For me New Years Eve is a sexy red lip, an outfit that accentuates everything in the right places with good food and company! With that being said, I bring forth the perfect shade of red for anyone wanting to plant that perfect lip stained kiss for New Years Eve. I hope you enjoy tonight's post! :)

Clickey!

I bought NYX's lipcream at Clicks (can't remember the price) and I haven't seen it sold anywhere in S.A. I know that I usually include a second and first coat but the lipcream has so much pigment in it that it's technically not possible to do a first coat (There will be no difference between the first and second coat). You guys know that I'm not picky when it comes to packaging and I never describe packaging or anything like that. But I do appreciate a good doe foot applicator and this product definitely has it. I love the consistency of the lipcream because it doesn't feel as drying as lipstick and as "wet" as a lipgloss.
I have one coat of Absolute Red on my lips and as you can see it's super pigmented! For anyone that has dry lips I didn't experience any drying for the period that I wore the product. But I can't comment yet on the staying power of it because 1. the color is overpowering and for me can't be worn as a casual daytime look without looking like someone that works at night (at the corner) and 2. I did these swatches just before I left for my home-town. I do have one grip however it can smudge everywhere, so my teeth had to be feverishly checked everytime I took a picture for fear of red smears (that sounds gross) on my teeth.
I swatched all the (I think) non-matte lipcreams (there's a matte and gloss lipcream) in the NYX range that I could find at the cosmetic store. The "uh, what" swatch is a shade I have no idea what it is or how it even got there, I knew I should have named each swatch the minute I got home! But hopefully this will give you an idea as to what the rest of the range looks like.

Till we meet again!
Bye Bye!
And have a good New Year!
