Review| Rimmel Lasting Finish Lipstick in #120 Cutting Edge!

Evening!

Gosh, time had flown by! It's already  two weeks until the end of March and I have hoards of studying to do *eek, test week anyone?* I would have uploaded this review eons ago when I fell in love with Kate Moss's lipstick collection by Rimmel, but I recently got my wisdom teeth filled up with strong stuff that's meant to keep the calcium eating bacteria at bay *laughs* I picked up "Cutting Edge" at a department store, stupidly thinking that I was picking up one of the lipstick's in the Kate Moss Rimmel collection...I obviously don't read labels as you can see *laughs* I wasn't too disappointed with the color choice since it's a dark-ish purple that tends towards vampy. It's not as vampy as I would like it to be, but I think anything too vampy will push down my tan skin tone, down a notch. It's more purple than anything else and the scent isn't too pleasing...reminds me of baby powder, eek! I hope you enjoy tonight's review! :)

There isn't much to say about the packaging except that it's black and that I'm glad the grip on the cap of the lipstick hasn't worn out. I'm one of those people that like pushing the caps of my lipsticks up and down, and the grip tends to wear off quicker (obviously) luckily with this one it hasn't happened yet.

This is the first Rimmel lipstick that I've purchased and I have to say in terms of pigmentation it did not disappoint! I've mentioned before that I have dual toned lips, so it's hard to find a lipstick that can cover up the uneven pigmentation. Cutting edge was amazing in hiding the unevenness, not to mention it's not a bad shade of color! The only disappointment as I said before is the smell of the product, I've never liked a scent in lip products because it's just weird to be smelling the scent the whole time you wear the product on your lips. I'm not a fan of Revlon's minty scent and not a fan of Rimmel's baby powder scent.

You'll easily get a good 3+ hours of wear out of this lipstick. I do find at time, depending on how dry my lips want to get when I apply lipstick that they tend to feel uncomfortable past the 3+ hour mark, other than that on days when my lips decide they want to be unfussy and please me I can wear it past the 3+ hour mark. Talking doesn't hinder the pigmentation but eating and drinking does since this is a lipstick. You won't be left with an alluring stainn of color after you've eaten or drank anything.

For those of you with dry chapped lips like mine, I say this lipstick is worth a try for those of you who have awesome hydrated lips all year round definitely give it a try!

I hope you enjoyed reading tonight's post!
Till we meet again!
Bye Bye! :)
