Piercings|The Conch Piercing

Sunday, 24 February 2013  at 12:01 pm
Afternoon Lovelies!

I did say in my previous piercing post that I would eventually get a conch piercing, and following through with my obsessions with piercings, I got one. Don't get me wrong, although I love my conch piercing to death, it was the most anti-climatic piercing I've ever had to get. It was the most painful but I wasn't as nervous as when I got my second ear piercings. I seem to do all my piercings on a spur of the moment type of thing so I can never back out and put off getting my piercings. I got my conch piercing at an ear clinic in my home-town. I think it might not have been so nervous because the piercer loved doing conch piercings, so I realised then and there I'm going to get a piercing that's situated nicely and will aesthetically look nice. This piercing, definitely isn't for anyone who doesn't like pain and trust me when I say this.

I have a very low pain threshold towards certain things and when it comes to piercings my pain threshold is high. So, when I say that it was sore, it was sore! I didn't realise at the time, after some research that a conch piercing is the most sensitive part of the ear to get pierced. After I got the conch, I had this massive pressure build up in my head like a bad migraine, but when I got home I was better.

All in all, I love my conch piercing not many people seem to get and it's an odd place to get a piercing. I am considering another piercing *laughs* I said after my conch I wouldn't get another piercing but I really just want two cartilage piercings or a rook piercing!

I found this image randomly on tumblr
Found this on another site, not Queen of Space website

Have no idea where I found this
I have a serious girl crush on Hyoyeon for some reason, I have no idea why. But, I love her attitude and her happy-go lucky personality. Just like Hyuna from 4 minute inspired me to get a conch piercing, Hyoyeon is inspiring me to either get a rook or cartilage piercing.

Till we meet again!
Bye Bye!

Haul|Clothes for uni

Morning Lovelies!

It's no joke, but third year is such a wirlwind of studying and labs it's overwhelming. But, nothing I can't handle! *smiles* Hopefully, just hopefully I'll get into honours this year or else I'll have to transfer to another university to do my honours degree and I don't want that.

So, since my life has been a bit hectic I've decided that I'll upload whatever I haven't uploaded yet (which is a lot) and spread them apart so updating is still at a regular pace. I just have a plain simple haul of some of the things that I bought to wear at uni, nothing special or spectacular but I do still hope you enjoy!

I wore this for Christmas last year with a black lace body suit.

I bought the skirt from Jo Borkett which is a designer store down here. Even though I can only afford clothes from designer shops like these at the end of the season where there are huge sales! I don't see the point any more in buying clothes that are cheap and will only last you a couple of months or so.

I love the red lining underneath the skirt and at the time I was meant to wear it for New Years eve last year but I ended up not going out that night *fail*

I'm holding it at the back because the waist area was far too big and gaped like an eye-sore! So, when I went down to my home-town I got it altered and it fits like a glove!

This top is in a size 10 which as you can see is far too big, I managed to exchange it for a size 6 which I'll upload how that looks in my next haul.

Till we meet again!
Bye Bye!

Nail Art|Valentines Day nails

Sunday, 10 February 2013  at 7:42 pm
Evening Lovelies!

While I was watching "Dancing Queen" from  SNSD, Tiffany's bright red with hints of silver, nails caught my attention. For some reason I was under the illusion that the hint of silver were rhinestones, upon closer look I realised that it was actually silver nailpolish but I decided that rhinestones looked more glamorous than plain silver nailpolish overlayed on a red base-coat. Other than the misconception, the nails would look great for Valentines Day! Unfortunately  for me, I'll have uni classes that day and the bf graduated last year! So, I'm alone this Valentines Day.

Lovelies-How will you be spending Valentines Day? Do you have any plans planned yet?

I added the hearts with a marker to add some extra Valentines Day sweetness!

Till we meet again!
Bye Bye!

Haul|Pastels & Shoes

Morning!

Gosh, it's chilly today! When I opened the window this morning, I swear my moisturized lips were blown off my face *laughs* I don't mind the cold, I just despise the drying effect of Winter on my skin. I'm honestly hoping with all my heart that this year, is the year I leave this country, don't get me wrong I can get homesick, but I need a change in scenery...have you ever felt that feeling when you just need to escape for a while to find who's important in your life and who isn't and just to reflect? I desperately need one of those.

Nail Art|Stripes

Evening Lovelies!

I'm totally pooped! Trying to find Judge Dredd comics and the like, if you didn't know I'm a complete fan of Judge Dredd! Just something about a man that's feared by others and holds immense power over others keeps me intrigued! I recently watched it last week with le bf and I wasn't too satisfied with the remake of the 1995 version of Judge Dredd. I do feel in some aspects that Sylvester Stallone was a better Judge Dredd than Karl Urban. But, when it comes to the menacing grin and frown that Judge Dredd wears on his face so flawlessly Karl Urban beats Sylvester hands down!

The mani that I've done tonight, features a lovely array of stripes! Well it isn't an array, but I've finally managed to get my stripes clean and crisp. Usually, I find it hard to create clean, crisp lines, but with the use of my nail tape and the patience to wait until ALL the layers of nailpolish have dried, I've reached my goal! So, I hope you enjoy the look of today's mani!

I hope all of you are having a wonderful evening so far, or morning, whichever hemisphere you live in.

Till we meet again!
Bye Bye!

Evening Lovelies!

Tonight, I've done a simple yet tasteful manicure. I think silver tips paired with pastel purple's are always a DO! So, I hope you enjoy the look and aesthetics of tonight's manicure!

Morning Lovelies!

I decided I would try my hand at using nail tapes and overlaying a gorgeous gold base coat over a nude beige. Hope you enjoy!

Afternoon Lovelies!

It's kinda weird that when I go on an unexpected hiatus, my lovely followers either increase in mass or decrease, gets me thinking *hmm* As requested I was asked to upload some of the mani's that I do with nail tips and nail tape. So, in my attempt to kill two birds with one stone, I've made tutorials out of most of the mani's that I do. Hope you enjoy!
