Winter nails

Wednesday, 25 April 2012  at 4:06 pm
Afternoon!

Lovelies! For once I had the privilege *laughs* of coming home early! Yes! It is indeed a privilege to arrive at 15:35 on your doorstep. Uni, is hectic as always, thanks for asking. I only got home early this afternoon because I've been feeling off lately. I'm exhausted and I don't see the point in sleeping any more, it happens in the same routine every morning. I sleep early and in the morning I have to drag my sorry exhausted bum out of bed *sigh*

But anyway!

Onto the post! So, I tried a glitter gradient on a purple base colour. I don't know why but when I think of winter I think of purple and not blue, purple to me seems more inviting than icy blue!

Base coat: Sally Hansen hard as nails
Base colour: Charlie Day Dreamer #605
Top coat: Revlon perfect finish

I hope everyone is enjoying their week so far!

Till the next post!
Bye Bye!

What a day

Sunday, 22 April 2012  at 1:38 am
Morning!

It is now a juicy 01:16 am morning! I've been listening to karaoke provided by my lovely neighbours for three hours straight! They aren't good at all...if they could at least attempt to keep a note it would be ear worthy. So, I get into the car this morning to accompany my mum, to go grocery shopping, she then proceeds to swear at me and tell me how useless I am, and that she doesn't know what's going to happen to me, and that I rely on everyone else and I never do anything for myself. I got an earful, so we haven't spoken and my day has been royally messed up from that incident. I failed one of my block tests for one of my majors and she's stressed and worried about that. But, I still have a chance to make it up, I still have another block test coming up and June examinations. I'll have to work like crazy and collapse because of exhaustion.

My mum is just so stressed out lately and everyone knows that the mother sets the mood of the household, because she's so stressed out and always angry no one talks to each other in the house any more. It's starting to take a toll on my health, I've been getting headaches and my eyes have been bloodshot everyday because of lack of sleep, I've also been getting recurring nightmares and all this crap. It sucks.

But anyway, onto the actual post! I have a few in-changing room pictures of a few jersey type tops I tried on in preparation for winter. Since, I usually get laryngitis in winter they're all polo necks or cowl neck sweaters.

Matchy, matchy

This throw over jersey is in a size L *laughs* I have this rule, that if I think it looks good I don't care what size it is in I'll buy it but my mum wouldn't buy it for me. I thought it was so cute!

I really liked this top, but it wasn't long enough, not even my height could compensate for how short this top is

And then I want to know why I'm failing I'm always cam-whoring
I hope everyone will enjoy the last remnants of their weekend!

Till the next post!
Bye Bye!

My day in an instagram

Monday, 16 April 2012  at 7:12 pm
Evening!

I am SO exhausted, had a lab until 15:45-ish, then spent some chill out time with favourite person until 17:00, twas a good day indeed! But, I'm exhausted, slept so late yesterday because I was watching the OVA's of Ai no Kusabi! But, anyway, back to the post! As the title suggests I figured since instagram was released for androids I might as well get it and post "my day in an instagram" with you lovelies! Specifically the day will be Saturday since during the week I'm to busy to take pictures of anything.

new designer tights, remind me of stay ups
the only ring besides some others that seem to fit my fingers these days
when I got home she decided to escape through the window *laughs*
walker shoes, love!
visiting the pet store in search of a new addition to my family of dogs
movies my brother bought for me
OFTD
cam-whoring of course
I hope everyone hasn't had a too stressful Monday! Still four more days to go! *laughs* I still have physiology work and a tutorial to prepare for *sigh*

Till the next post!

Designer tights part 1

Sunday, 15 April 2012  at 3:32 pm
Afternoon!

Uni has been so stressful lately! *wipes sweat off temples* Ever since block 1 ended it's been non-stop work, work, work. It's killing me! Not to mention I hardly have the time to spend quality time with my favourite person *sigh* the life of a uni student. During these stressful times my eye-sight gets progressively worse because they're tired of reading through the endless jargon scientists have to offer. The one aspect I absolutely loathe about uni are the endless amounts of tests and assignments. Don't get me wrong I love writing scientific reports (spoken like a true scientist!) but don't ask me to present my findings in front of the entire class! I'll rather do the work, someone else can enjoy the sound of their voice for a few short minutes. Besides that, I hate that you can write a test that you THINK note the think that you wrote really well and you receive the most awful mark you've ever received in your entire short-lived uni career. It happened to me in physiology test I just wrote a few weeks back.

But, enough of my ranting! I recently discovered the designer tights everyone seems to be wearing on fashion blogs these days. As everyone might have noticed I love tights! I think they elongate my legs and just make them look leaner and slimmer. Personally, because I'm so short-1.57cm- tights give me an added confidence boost!

cardigan: Trueworths
Top: Queenspark
Shorts: Jay Jays
Tights: Trueworths
Shoes: can't remember

My attempt at jumping *laughs* I haven't jumped in forever so this was a sad attempt

I hope everyone has had a good week!
Back to the grind stone tomorrow! Ugh!

Till the next post!

Polka dots and a red cardigan

Friday, 13 April 2012  at 7:08 pm
Evening!

So, last night I stayed up until 1 am chatting to favourite person, I had an assignment due the next day and a pre-lab test, oh the joys of procrastination. Today is also our anniversary, but he couldn't make it and didn't come into uni. I won't lie but when something like that happens it just kinda kills me, after all your anniversary is MEANT to be spent with the one you love right? It's your special day, no one else's. But, I guess these things happen, right?

Tonight I bring to you my lovely lovelies! An OFTD and some complementary cam-whoring *laughs* Oh, and as a side note, I'm sure most of my lovelies have noticed but I now have a coupons side bar thingy. All the coupons I receive I'll post in this side bar so, please use them!

cardigan: Trueworths
Tank top: Woolworths

For some reason my hair only curls on one side and not the other, so annoying!

I hope everyone will have an enjoyable weekend!

Till the next post!

Peachee

Tuesday, 10 April 2012  at 7:41 pm
I have never really preferred Revlon's range of nail polishes, simply because every shade I have ever tried always looked horrible on my nails or awful with my skin tone. I currently only own three bottles of Revlon nail polish, disappointing I know *laughs* I decided to try out one of their Top Speed shades in a peach colour, I was in search for the perfect peach colour that would illuminate my skin tone from my nails upwards *laughs* I haven't found it yet...

I didn't have time to clean up, I did this gradient before my final block test *laughs* and I ended up remonving everything from my nails after.

Top and base coat: Revlon's Multi base and top coat
Peach base coat: Revlon's Top Speed Polished
White nail polish: Some nail growing nail polish that was white so I used that instead of white nail polish
White glitter: Body glitter

The gradient isn't as clear in these pictures but it didn't look to bad on my nails I like the idea of a icy white gradient on a peach base coat, reminds me of winter for some reason.

Until the next post!

Bye Bye~

Bell bottom

Monday, 9 April 2012  at 11:37 am
Afternoon!

As the post suggests not clearly but it hints at it indiscrimantely "Bell bottom" my new shade from Woolworth's nail polish collection. I snagged this for 25 zar ($3.25) an absolute steal!

Added the gold glitter nail to make the look more interesting

I think this shade of green fits my skin tone well I saw it on a girl at uni with almost the same skin tone as me and it looked gorgeous on her so I had to get a similar shade of green *laughs*
Till the next post lovelies!

Bye Bye~

Stripes+caramel ice-cream= The start to a good day

Sunday, 8 April 2012  at 3:11 pm
Afternoon!

The weathers been cooling down as winter approaches. I think we're in autumn now *laughs* I only ever know when it's winter or summer. I'm turning 20 soon and I don't feel a day over 17 *laughs* This morning I went to a farm that's quite close to my house. They sell the best ice-cream (that isn't made from the cows on the farm) and sell the freshest food. They have the best Sunday buffet breakfasts, absolutely adore! But, it's pricey and wasted on me because I don't eat much. A plate per person is 110 zar ($13.94), but if you think about it, you pay quite a lot but in the end you can eat all your money back *laughs* but as I said, in my case that idea doesn't work with me. So, of course since we had semi-pleasing scenery and I had stripy tights on, I had to cam-whore!

Dress: Trueworths
Scarf: Woolworths
Tights: Edgars
Shoes: Luella (falling apart)
Cardigan: Woolworths

A side of complementary cam-whoring

Yum! Yum! Caramel ice-cream, the start of a good morning!
I hope everyone enjoyed this post!

Till the next post!

Bye Bye~

Silver gradient on black

Saturday, 7 April 2012  at 7:46 am
Morning!

So, lovelies this is the final look I did for favourite persons sisters nails. Since I didn't get a chance to take a picture of her nails because I realised at the last minute that I didn't tale a picture I've modelled it on my nails instead. Originally I was meant to just do a silver gradient on top of a black base coat but I decided to add a Konad bow to add a bit of dimension to the whole look.

Top and base coat: Revlon's Multi-care base and top coat
Dark blue base colour: Rimmel #400 Blue Vogue
What I used for the gradient: Silver base colour-Sally hansen's #13 Celeb City
White glitter-bought at some cosmetic shop it's actually body glitter for added dimension I sponged on Tip Top #926 Rocky Road Glitter

I hope all of you have enjoyed this post!

Till the next post!

Bye Bye~

Blacks and pinks

Wednesday, 4 April 2012  at 7:20 pm
Evening!

Today's nail design was inspired by nine muses,Violets(correct me if I'm wrong) nail art. I loved the mismatched pairing of black and pink nail polish on alternate fingers and the rhinestones added a some what more "expensive" touch to it. I love the roundness of her nails, they're perfectly rounded which suggests they could be fake *laughs* they most probably are.

Inspiration!

My attempt! I realised that the glitter portion should have been on my ring finger not my pointer finger.

Base coat and top coat: Revlon's Multi-care Base and top coat
Pink nail polish: Kangol-Fairy cake
Black nail polish: Essence multi dimension-#20 Fatal
Rhinestones: Planet nails
Gold glitter: From a kids craft set

I did the lace nail art and this look in one night to show favourite persons sister what I could for her nails for the end of year dance. Needless to say my nails ended up badly damaged *laughs* so my nails had to get a break from all the battering.

I hope all of you are having a good weekend!

Till the next post!
Bye Bye~
