Utterly shattered

Saturday, 23 July 2011  at 5:26 pm
Evening~!

Finally, my lovelies! This is my first attempt at using OPI's nail shatter! When I used it for the first time, I couldn't believe that it actually shattered. I had my doubts, to be honest. Down here, as I said, it takes us aeon's to obtain certain products that have been on the market overseas. So, I had my doubts with this product. There are con's to OPI's nail shatter, firstly. The consistency, I hate that it's very thick and that it dries pretty fast. You have to be quick when using it, or else it will start shattering on your nail while your still painting the entire nail. Other than that I don't have any other complaints. I would have liked to have it in a different color, they only have it in black down here, oh well. The one aspect of the nail polish that I loved was, I was painting my nail and had a thick streak of the shatter on the side of my nail. I thought it wasn't going to shatter that well, but to my surprise it did. I have to say that this nail polish is the most forgiving, you can't really go wrong with it.

Beautifully shattered!

I hope everyone has enjoyed reading this post! Today is my second last day before I go to uni. Hopefully, I'll be able to upload an OFTD before I go back.

Bye Bye~!

A little bit of this and that

Thursday, 21 July 2011  at 11:56 am
Morning~!

So, I was meant to go out with my favorite person tomorrow, but he happened to kinda cancel, ditched maybe? I don't know. Anyway, I don't want to ramble on about that. I bring with me, my lovelies a fashion haul I have kept in the dark for sometime. I didn't upload this earlier because I didn't really have the time, well I couldn't find the time, anyway. I don't remember any of the retail prices because I bought it awhile back. I apologize for that.

I didn't realize I bought a nail growth until I got home.

The earphones that come with the Samsung Galaxy Ace suck, so I had to buy new ones. Ozone isn't exactly the best in delivering good quality sound to your eardrums but they will have to suffice for now.

This is my second item I've bought from the Mango store (laughs). Everything there is so expensive so I can only buy when they have a Summer or Winter sale.

I realize that one of the tops aren't featured, if anyone would like to see what it looks like, just comment in the comment box below, and I'll upload pictures of it.
This is my last week on holiday. So, next week I start university in full swing, uploads won't be as frequent anymore, but I will upload as much as I can before I have to go to university.

Bye Bye~!

Maintenance shopping

Monday, 18 July 2011  at 7:47 pm
Evening~!

My lovelies, do any of you do maintenance shopping? I do believe that is necessary to do maintenance shopping. Now, don't get me wrong maintenance shopping is not a full on shopping spree, it's more like shopping for those basics that you ABSOLUTELY need. In my case, I always ABSOLUTELY need everything on sale (laughs). So, I come today with a little maintenance shopping. Oh, my question for you lovelies out there, who has heard Miss A's new album? T-ara's new album and Mblaq's new album? In my opinion I don't think there was one album that really shone from the rest. I liked songs here and there from the different albums but didn't love a full album made from any of the artists. Oh well.

Maintenance shopping!

Don't the black flowers look cute? This necklace was reduced thrice! Like a boss! It was originally 69 zar ($9.86) then reduced to 39 zar ($5.57) and further to 20 zar ($2.85). I bought this necklace at Queenspark, this shop isn't as trendy as the Diva store, but it stocks good quality items.

I absolutely love pendants! They make any outfit look interesting, whether it be teamed with a simple tank top or a basic white t-shirt. This was also reduced thrice. Original price 229 zar ($32.74) then to 149 zar ($21.30) and further to 20 zar ($2.85). I bought this at Queenspark as well.

Alas, I have realized I have a fetish for fashionable headbands. I got this one at the Diva store for 130 zar ($18.60) which was  then reduced to  65 zar ($9.30).

Can you see that my lovelies? Peeking from my headband? I have too fallen prey to the Shatter nail polish trend. Down here, the shatter trend is pretty big because it's a miracle finding a bottle of OPI Shatter nail polish. So I was utterly ecstatic when I bought the last bottle of shatter nail polish in the nail store. When I bought it, it felt as if I had accomplished something, that just shows you lovelies how much I live nail polish. I bought it for 130 zar ($18.60).

Pictures don't do this headband justice!

I bought the grey knit jersey at Trueworth's for 280 zar ($40.07), this jersey was marked down, I don't remember the original price.

This blue sweater...I absolutely love it! It's stretchy, warm and all the things a sweater should be! I bought this at Queenspark, I have no idea what the original price was but the reduced price was 140 zar ($20.03).

I hope ALL of my lovelies are having a somewhat pleasant working week! I hope nothing will upset any of you or make you angry. As I say, always smile and things will get better in time!

Until the next post!
Bye Bye~!

Something new, something old

Saturday, 16 July 2011  at 5:50 pm
Evening~

My lovelies I know I haven't been updating as much lately. It seems these holidays had more in store for me than I had prepared myself for. First off, my "love" life has taken a turn for the better? That's another story I won't divulge into and secondly my health has taken a turn for the worst. I haven't been too well lately, stress is starting to eat at me and university is about to start in a weeks time and I;m just overwhelmed. But anyway! i wanted to share with you my lovelies some OFTD pictures! I have FINALLY managed to find a better location to take pictures, so hopefully these won't disappoint you.

Bomber jacket: Trueworths
Skirt: Trueworths
Tights: Woolworths
Boots: Rage
Handbag: A gift

Now for the old. I wanted to show you lovelies out there, the quality of the pictures taken with my Samsung Galaxy Ace.

Taken in the bathrooms at a mall as you can see XD

Taken in natural light. I think the quality of the pictures is much better than the pictures that I've taken with my Nokia 5800.
I hope all my lovelies are enjoying their weekend!

Bye Bye~

Birthday haul

Tuesday, 12 July 2011  at 5:54 pm
Afternoon~!

My lovelies, it was my birthday on the 9th of this month. I'm officially 19...I'm getting old so fast, time really does fly past. So, I come with a lovely in depth birthday haul. Unfortunately I didn't go out on my birthday, because my mum kept me under house arrest. I went out with somebody the previous day until 6 the night so yeah. I didn't really enjoy my birthday to be honest, I only enjoyed the day I went out the previous day. Don't be surprised if I can say exactly how much my birthday items cost me. I chose my birthday gifts myself, solely because I'm tired of receiving gifts I don't like for my birthday (laughs).

My wonderful birthday haul....it looks so pretty!

I bought the nail art stickers and stamping nail art plate at Planet nails. The nail art stickers were 10 zar ($1.45) and the stamping nail art plate was 20 zar ($2.90). I lost my hello kitty stamping plate, so I had to buy a new one because I still have no idea how to use the stamping set. I think the nail polish that I'm using on the plate doesn't really work that well, so I have to go back to the store to ask what's going on.

The rings, bracelet and headbands to follow were bought at Claire's. They were having a 75% sale, so I had to buy something. I only heard later from the women at the counter that were closing down, and I just found out about them recently. It was one of those sales where you could buy two things and get two things free, so I loved it. The arrow ring was  49 zar($8.56).

The Eiffel tower ring was 49 zar($7.10).

My lovely bow ring was 49 zar too ($7.10). So, because it was buy two and get two free I bought the arrow ring and the bracelet that is to follow, and got the bow ring and the Eiffel tower ring free.

I love this floral headband, it's perfect for summer. I bought this for 17 zar ($2.47). It originally was 75 zar ($10.87).

The color doesn't quite show up in the picture but it's a light peachy color. I bought this for 12 zar ($1.77). It was orginally 75 zar ($10.87).

This is a type of material headband, it has black feathers attcached to it and sequence. I bought this for 17 zar ($2.47). This headband was also 75 zar ($10.87).

So, I decied to buy the Clinique chubby stick in "whole lotta honey". I haven't as of yet tried it out. But I love the color and the tint of color it has to it. I bought it for 175 zar ($25.42).

The bracelet was 59 zar ($8.57).

I had to stock up on nail art supplies, bought the nail art brushes for 15 zar ($2.17) and the pink dotting tool was 15 zar as well ($2.17).

I got this cute phone charm from one of my guy friends. He's the one that took me out the previous day before my birthday. He always makes me smile.

Alas, I bought another skirt. I bought this skirt at a designer boutique. It's not really a boutique more like a shop that houses the works of young fashion designers, I love that shop. It has unique pieces that you can't find anywhere else. The shop's name is YDE. The skirt was designed by Milla. I love the design of the skirt because it has pockets on the side which help to disguise hips. It's also the perfect length, it's hard for me to find the perfect length skirt, because I'm short. This has to be the first skirt that fitted perfectly without me having to alter it. I bought the skirt for 290 zar ($42.16), it originally was 380 zar ($55.25).

My second pair of boots from Luella. These are from their leather collection. My brother bought these for me, usually he buys me nothing, so I was surprised when he bought me these. These were originally priced at 899 zar ($130.68), but I bought them for 499 zar ($72.54).

I hope everyone will have a wonderful Wednesday! Oh, and my lovelies! I passed my learners test, I'm so glad! So, for me, today has ended on a high note!
Bye Bye.

Stocking up for the holidays

Monday, 4 July 2011  at 8:19 pm
Evening~!

So, today my lovelies I wanted to post a bit of my "personal life" not really personal, more so what I do to prepare myself for ultimate relaxation during the holidays. I only heard recently that I haven't officially gone on holiday, the uni only closes on the 8th of this month. Hopefully I'm not missing any classes. So, as I said I want to show my lovely readers out there what I do to prepare myself for the holidays!

Yes! My guilty pleasure, I read Seventeen magazine though I'm turning 19 very shortly. Honestly, Seventeen magazine really caters for seventeen year olds, but I love their beauty tips and fashion ideas. Considering I'm a fashion addict in training it's the perfect place to get ideas! I usually read Glamour and Seventeen they are my two favorite magazines, but come to think of it I haven't read the magazines yet, since I've bought them (laughs).

I love love, absolutely and whole-heartedly love Zillions! They are the only sweets I can eat by the handful without having to worry if my teeth will pain. For some reason when I eat specific types of sweets my teeth tend to pain. I don't know if it might be the sugar content or if I'm just overall sensitive to sweet things. Zillions are a type of semi-hard candy, they are similar to Smarties. They just don't have the chocolate in the center, they have sweet candy goodness in the center. Then I decided to buy white chocolate buttons from Thorntons. I was worried that the chocolate would be of a poor quality, but these to my surprise actually dissolved in my mouth when I ate them. I will definitely buy these again because I love white chocolate and it comes in a convenient package that you can carry with you in your handbag, in case you get peckish.

Absolutely by far the best ice-tea I have ever tasted in my life. They are inexpensive and just taste great. I love the fact that the drink actually tastes like peach ice-tea it doesn't have an artificial tang to it. I drink about four of these every day. As you can see two are missing in this picture, that's because I drank two on my way home. (laughs)

And then to end off my preparation for the holidays, I stock up on nail polish supplies. I had to buy a new base coat because I've lost my Sally Hansen strong as nails base coat, I think that was the name of it. I honestly loved that base coat ! It prevented my nails from chipping and breaking. I'm not trying to discredit my new base coat I just miss my old one. I find the tip top nail chic hydro-flex base coat to be of a good quality. It works just as well as any other base coat, and the plus is it stops my nails from chipping!

It isin't really a blue color more of a pearly blue, when I wear it, I will upload a picture of what it looks like.

New dotting tool! My old dotting tool, the dots it created were too small and it just annoyed me, so I bought a new dotting tool. I think I lost my old dotting tool too, that's why I had to buy a new one. I find since entering university that I tend to lose a lot of things. For instance I once left my phone in the bathroom at uni and didn't realise, luckily I got it back though. So, my question for you my lovelies is, what do you tend to lose? Do you tend to lose things as easily as me?
I hope this post hasn't made any of my lovelies think to themselves "what a useless post" (laughs) that would be awful if any of you thought that. So, tomorrow is Tuesday? I hope everyone out there will enjoy their day tomorrow!

Bye Bye~
